Letícia de Almeida’s academic journey began with a strong foundation in psychology, which she studied at the State University of Londrina (UEL) in 2018-2019. However, her passion for medicine led her to pursue a Bachelor’s in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Cesumar University in Maringá/PR, where she is currently in her 12th semester, expecting to graduate in 2025. Her educational background is further enriched by her high school experience in both Finland at Uudenkaupungin Lukio (2010-2012) and Brazil at Colégio Prisma (2012).

Throughout her medical career, Letícia has gained diverse professional experiences, including internships in nephrology at Davita Clinic and Honpar Hospital in 2022. These internships allowed her to delve into nephrology-related patient care, dialysis treatment, and kidney disease management. Later, she also participated in a neurology internship at Hospital Universitário – UEL, where she assisted in neurological patient care and diagnostic support, gaining hands-on experience with common neurological disorders.

Letícia’s research endeavors have been both varied and impactful. As a CNPq Scholar, she worked under the supervision of Dr. Braulio Henrique Magnani on a project exploring the relationship between sleep quality and eating behavior in adolescents, resulting in a published article with DOI: 10.12873/433magnani. She has also contributed to a study on domestic workers’ quality of life and perceptions of their health, which is expected to be published soon. Furthermore, her research as an ICETI Scholar focuses on obesity and its relation to Sustainable Development Goals, with a bibliometric analysis featured in IJERPH (DOI: 10.3390/ijerph22020146).
