Prof. Dr. Mohammad Taghilou is an accomplished mechanical engineer specializing in energy conversion, thermal management of lithium-ion batteries, solid oxide fuel cells, and solid-liquid phase change processes. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tabriz, focusing on analytical-numerical investigation of melting and solidification processes using the lattice Boltzmann method. Professionally, he is an Associate Professor and head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zanjan, where he also leads the Multiphase Transfer Systems Research Laboratory. He has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate courses covering thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, and laboratory training. His research interests include lithium-ion battery thermal management, thermodynamic analysis of solid oxide fuel cells, droplet dynamics, fluid and heat flow in porous media, and the lattice Boltzmann method.
