Dr. Maryam Sharifi Paroushi | Chemical Engineering | Research Excellence Award

Dr. Maryam Sharifi Paroushi is a doctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology  and a recipient of the prestigious Kummer Fellowship, recognizing academic excellence and applied research impact. Her research expertise spans CO₂ storage and EOR, polymer and hydrogel systems, energy storage materials, MXenes, and plasmonic nanomaterials. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, with 50+ citations to date. Actively collaborating with petroleum companies through Joint Industry Projects (JIPs) and engaged with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), she contributes to advancing sustainable energy, carbon management, and next-generation materials for societal and industrial benefit.
