Gúmer Pérez is a Permanent Lecturer at the Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA), Spain, and a member of the Genetics, Genomics, and Microbiology research group. With over 25 years of experience, his research focuses on the genetic, genomic, transcriptomic, and biotechnological improvement of the edible basidiomycete Pleurotus ostreatus, particularly its role in lignin degradation and sustainable biotechnology.
